This is a Smith & Wesson Model 17-2 Revolver made in 1963 and chambered for the .22 Long Rifle cartridge. Known as the K-22 Masterpiece, it is a medium "K" frame, 6-shot, double action revolver with a 6" barrel. This revolver is in excellent, near new condition in its original factory "blue" box. The gun retains more than 99% of its factory blued finish with just a couple of very tiny scratches in the finish. The bore, chambers, and mechanics are excellent. The factory "magna" grips have the diamond screw escutcheons and S&W medallions. They are in excellent condition with just a very tiny ding or two on the edges. The original box is in very good condition with just a few small scuffs. There is a strip of packing tape around the bottom and a tape stain on the top. This is an outstanding example of the S&W K-22 revolver. Stock no. 29666
