VERY FINE, YUGOSLAVIAN MODEL 48 (M48) MAUSER RIFLE, 76.92X57MM

This is a Yugoslavian Model 48 (M48) Mauser Rifle made in the 1950's at Factory 44 and chambered for the 7.92x57mm (8mm Mauser) cartridge. The M48 had milled parts left over from WWII production. This rifle is actually marked "MOD.98" and even has Waffenamt markings on the rear sight sleeve. This rifle is in very fine to excellent condition with all matching numbers. It retains about 95% of its factory blued finish with just a bit of wear on the exposed edges. The receiver still has the crest of Communist Yugoslavia. The butt plate is finished bright. The bore and mechanics are excellent. The stock is very fine and numbered to the gun. There are importer marks on the barrel. This is an outstanding example of the Yugo M48. Stock no. 29655
