FINE, MATCHING, WWII GERMAN MAUSER K98K INFANTRY RIFLE, 8MM
Description :
This is an original, WWII, German K98k Infantry Rifle made at Mauser-Werke KG, Oberndorf on the Neckar ("byf" code) in 1941. The K98k was the standard German battle rifle of the Second World War. It was the workhorse of the Wehrmacht. This rifle is in very fine condition with more than 90% of its factory blued finish remaining. The trigger guard is turning a smooth light brown. All numbered parts are matching, and the larger parts have Waffenamt markings. The magazine floor plate and follower are not numbered, but the screws are. There is a tiny Eagle marking on the floor plate. The bore and mechanics are excellent. The laminated stock is in fine condition with extensive Waffenamt markings and letters. It has darkened a bit and there are a few small dings and scratches from use. The stock is numbered to the gun. This is a nice early Mauser K98k. Stock no. 28214
