Here is a Springfield Armory M1A Rifle chambered for the 7.62mm cartridge. The M1A is a semi-automatic version of the U.S. M-14 Rifle. These early production rifles were built with mostly military surplus parts and stocks. This rifle is in very fine to excellent condition. It retains about 98% of its dark gray parkerized finish. There is a bit of finish wear on the front stock ferrule. The rifle has excellent mechanics. The barrel is a National Match Sako-Lowell (SAK) dated "3-73". It has a perfect bore. The walnut stock is a military example and in very fine condition with just a couple small dings from use. The military cartouche is still faintly visible on the left wrist. This is a great, early M1A in outstanding condition. Stock no. 29519
