This is an original, WWII German K98k Rifle manufactured in 1944 at Waffenwerke Bruenn ("dot" code), Bruenn plant, Czechoslovakia. It is chambered for the 7.92x57mm (8mm Mauser) cartridge. The K98k was the standard German battle rifle of WWII. This rifle is in very fine condition with matching numbers. The rifle retains more than 95% of its factory blued finish with some finish wear on the magazine floor plate and trigger bar. The butt plate remains bright. The extractor is plum brown. The bore and mechanics are excellent. The stock is in very fine condition with just a tiny ding or two from use. Included is an original leather sling in very good condition. This is a nice, matching K98k with matching numbers and no importer marks. Stock no. 29498
