SPRINGFIELD U.S. MODEL 1903 RIFLE, WWII REBUILD, .30-06
Description :
Here is an original, U.S. Model 1903 Rifle built at Springfield Armory in 1929 and chambered for the .30-06 Government cartridge. The rifle was rebuilt and rebarreled during WWII. The rifle is in very good to fine condition. More than 90% of its parkerized finish remains with some wear on the high points of the receiver and on the butt plate. There is some finish wear right at the muzzle where the bayonet is affixed. The rifle has excellent mechanics. The Springfield replacement barrel is dated "10-42" and has an excellent bore. The stock is not in the same condition as the rest of the gun. It is in good useable condition, but has a number of small dings, scratches, and gouges overall. At some point it was numbered to the gun. The included M-1 sling is replica. This old warhorse has seen some use but remains in good shootable condition. Stock no. 29323
