This is an original, WWII US Model 1911A1 Pistol manufactured by Remington Rand in early 1944. This was the standard sidearm of American forces in WWII and Korea. Many served into the Vietnam War. This pistol is in fine condition with about 90% of its factory parkerized finish remaining. There is some light holster wear at the front of the slide and the front grip strap has turned a mottled brown. The bore and mechanics are excellent. Unfortunately, the original plastic grips have been replaced with a set of military style checkered walnut ones. Luckily, originals are not impossible to find. This is a nice WWII .45 that has seen some use but remains in great condition. Stock no. 29291
