This is a Smith & Wesson .32 Safety Hammerless Third Model Revolver chambered for the .32 S&W cartridge. Officially known as the "New Departure", the name that stuck was the "Lemon Squeezer" for it's grip safety. It is a 5-shot double action only revolver with a 3" barrel. The Third Model was produced from 1909 to 1937. This one probably dates to about 1930. The revolver is in very good condition with about 60% of its factory blued finish remaining. Most of the remaining blue is on the barrel, cylinder, trigger guard, and side plate. The frame has mostly turned brown. The bore, chambers, and mechanics are excellent. The black hard rubber grips are excellent as well with no chips or cracks. Most of these were hard used. This one is a pretty nice example. Stock no. 29155
