Here is a Colt Police Positive (First Issue) Double Action Revolver manufactured in 1914. It is chambered for the .32 New Police cartridge. It is a 6-shot revolver with a 4" barrel and black hard rubber grips. This revolver is in very good condition with about 60% of its factory blued finish remaining. There is heavy holster wear on the barrel and cylinder and the high points of the frame. The grip straps are turning brown. The gun has excellent mechanics with tight lock up. The bore and chambers are in fine condition. Unfortunately, the left grip has a large chip at the butt. The right grip is worn smooth from carry. Someone rested their right hand there for many years. The revolver come with its original holster, an Audley 1914 model with a spring retention clip. This kept the perp from grabbing your revolver and using it on you. To draw the gun, you must press your index finger through the trigger guard, press the retainer down, and then draw. The holster is in fine condition with tight stitching. There is some scuffing of the leather surfaces. It is nicely marked with the maker's name and the 1914 patent date. This is a nice police set with a scarce holster and the honest wear of service.
