WWII, QUALITY HARDWARE U.S. M-1 CARBINE, .30 CALIBER

This is a WWII, U.S. M-1 Carbine manufactured by Quality Hardware and Machine in early 1944. The correct Underwood barrel is dated "12-43". This gun is a typical post-war armory rebuild with a bayonet mount and upgraded safety and magazine release. The original flip sight has been upgraded to the adjustable type. The gun is in very fine condition with about 95% of its Parkerized finish remaining. Most of the finish wear is on the butt plate. The bore and mechanics are excellent. The stock is very fine with just a few small dings from use. An original, WWII Underwood magazine in very fine condition is included. Also included is a sling and a magazine pouch fitted to the stock. The mag pouch is an original dated 1944. I believe the sling is post-war military. This is a very nice example of an M-1 Carbine as issued during the Korean War. Stock no. 28914
