WWII, UNDERWOOD U.S. M-1 CARBINE, .30 CALIBER, RARE INTERTYPE RECEIVER
Description :
This is a WWII, U.S. M-1 Carbine manufactured by Underwood in 1943. This carbine has a rare receiver made by Intertype, a sub-contractor for Underwood. This is indicated by the letter "T" stamped on the rear bevel of the receiver over the flaming ordnance bomb. This gun is a typical post-war armory rebuild with a bayonet mount and upgraded bolt, safety, and magazine release. The original flip sight has been upgraded to the adjustable type. The gun is in very fine condition with about 95% of its Parkerized finish remaining. The bore and mechanics are excellent. The stock is very fine with just a couple of tiny dings from use. An original, WWII Underwood magazine in very fine condition is included. Also included is a sling and a magazine pouch w/ 2 additional mags fitted to the stock. The mag pouch is a replica, and the two mags are modern after market. I believe the sling is post-war military. This is a very nice example of an M-1 Carbine as issued during the Korean War.
