VERY FINE, WWII SMITH-CORONA US MODEL 1903A3 RIFLE, .30-06

This is an original, WWII, U.S. Model 1903A3 Rifle manufactured by Smith-Corona in 1943. The Model '03-A3 was a simplified version of the Model 1903 Rifle that incorporated a number of stamped parts to speed production and decrease manufacturing cost. It also featured an updated aperture sight mounted on the rear of the receiver. This rifle is in very fine condition with nearly 100% of its factory parkerized and blued finishes remaining. There is just a faint hint of finish wear on the highest edges of the metal. The rifle has excellent mechanics. The Smith-Corona barrel is dated "7-43" and has an excellent bore. The stock is in very fine condition with crisp markings. The Inspector's cartouche and sub-inspector marks are clear. It looks as if a little oil has been hand rubbed into the wood. This is a beautiful '03A3 in great condition. Stock no. 28879
