REMINGTON MODEL 11 SEMI-AUTO SHOTGUN, 20 GAUGE

Description :
|
Here is a Remington Model 11 Semi-Automatic Shotgun made in October of 1930. It is a 20-gauge gun with a 28" barrel choked full. These guns are built using Browning's patent and closely resemble the Auto 5. This shotgun is in very good condition. It retains 70-80% of its original blued finish with some light overall wear. There is heavier wear on the tang and trigger guard strap. The bore and mechanics are excellent. The wood has some problems. There is a chunk of wood missing on the right side of the forearm at the top of the barrel channel. It is about 3/8" x 4". The butt has been expertly repaired by making two saw cuts, one from the comb down and the other from the cap of the pistol grip back. A whole new butt was glued in place and shaped and stained to match the old wood. It was then fitted with a Pachmayr rubber recoil pad. I don't know if this was a repair or if it was done to change the length of trigger pull. The pull length is 14 1/8". Either way, it is a very fine piece of work. If you need a high-quality knock around 20-gauge shotgun, this might be the ticket. Stock no. 28721
