WWII REMINGTON U.S. MODEL 1903-A3 RIFLE, .30-06

This is an original, WWII, U.S. Model 1903-A3 Rifle manufactured by Remington Arms in late 1943 or early 1944. It is chambered for the .30-06 cartridge. The Model '03-A3 was a simplified version of the Model 1903 Rifle that incorporated a number of stamped parts to speed production and decrease manufacturing cost. It also featured an updated aperture sight mounted on the rear of the receiver. This metal parts of this rifle are in very fine to excellent condition. More than 95% of its parkerized finish remains. There is a bit of finish wear at the muzzle and on the magazine floor plate. The bore and mechanics are excellent. The bolt is electro pencil numbered to the receiver. The stock is in just good condition. It has a heavy oil finish. There are a number of small dings and scratches from use. All stamped markings are obscured. Basically, this is an excellent rifle in a pretty good stock. Stock no. 27314
