VERY FINE MARLIN MODEL 39A 1ST MODEL .22 LEVER RIFLE, 1939 MFG.

This is an original Marlin Model 39A Lever Action Rifle Chambered for the .22 Long Rifle cartridge. This is a 1st Model 39A with a 3-digit serial number with no prefix. The 1st Model was only made in 1939. This rifle is in very fine condition. It retains about 98% of its factory blued finish with just a tiny scratch or two in the finish. The receiver has brilliant case color with just a little light fading on the lever and tang. The bore and mechanics are excellent. The stock and forearm are in fine to very fine condition with just a few small dings from use. The hard rubber butt plate is very fine with no chips or cracks. The pistol grip has the correct "S" shape of the 1st Model. A 1st Model 39A is a scarce rifle in any condition, almost unheard of in this condition. Stock no. 28199
