VERY FINE MARLIN MODEL 38 SLIDE ACTION RIFLE, .22 LR

Here is a Marlin Model 38 Slide Action Rifle chambered for the .22 Short, Long, or Long Rifle cartridges. Marlin made these between 1920 and 1930. This rifle is in very fine condition with about 95% of its original factory blued finish remaining. There is very light finish wear on the high points of the gun. The bore and mechanics are excellent. The stock is in fine condition with a few small dings and scratches from use. This is a rifle that is hard to find in better condition. Most were used hard for things like keeping meat in the pot during the Great Depression! This is a great example of the Marlin Model 38. Stock no. 27267
