VERY FINE MANNLICHER SCHOENAUER MODEL 1908 CARBINE, 8X56MM

Here is an original, Mannlicher Schoenauer Model 1908 Carbine manufactured by Steyr and chambered for the 8x56mm cartridge. This carbine is in very fine to excellent condition with about 98% of its factory blued finish remaining. There is just a hint of finish wear on the high points of the gun. The carbine has been fitted with a period set of scope mounts for a European style Claw mounted scope. These are very high quality and may be factory mounts. The gun has excellent mechanics and a very fine bore. The checkered walnut stock is in very fine condition with just a tiny ding or two from use. It has nice tiger striping along its length.
