Here is an original, Mannlicher Schoenauer Model 1908 Carbine manufactured by Steyr and chambered for the 8x56mm cartridge. The rifle is fitted with a period 4X ZIELJAGD telescope with European style claw mounts. The carbine has been professionally restocked with a beautiful, full length, high figure, walnut Monte Carlo style stock. the gun is in very fine condition with about 90& of its factory blued finish remaining. There is some light finish wear on the high points of the gun and on the trigger plate and a few tiny speckles on the barrel. The double triggers are finished bright. The bore and mechanics are excellent. The new stock is also excellent and perfectly fitted to the metal. The scope has some finish wear with about 70% of its blue remaining. There is some wear on the optical rings at each end. The optics are clear with a European 3-post reticle. Mannlicher Schoenauer carbines have a reputation as top-quality arms. Stock no. 28455
