Description :

This is an original National Match M-1 Garand Rifle built by Springfield Armory and chambered for the .30-06 cartridge. This is one of the final production National Match Rifles built in 1963. As such, it features all of the National Match parts, some of which were not present on earlier National match guns. These rifles are considered the ultimate National Match Garand. This rifle has "NM" inscribed on the barrel, "NM" marked windage knob and base, "NM" marked front sight, the special "NM" gas cylinder, hooded rear sight aperture, and the "NM" marked operating rod. The barrel has the correct 1963 markings of "SA F7791035". The stock has the correct "DOD" cartouche and the 1/2" circled "P" firing proof. The receiver and trigger housing are glass bedded and the last four digits of the serial number are written in the barrel channel. This rifle is in excellent, like new condition. It retains nearly 100% of its parkerized finish. The bore and mechanics are excellent with the tightest action I have ever handled. The stock is excellent as well, essentially new. This is a truly superb example of one of the finest M-1 rifles ever built. Stock no. 28209
