FINE, ALL MATCHING, WWII GERMAN MAUSER K98K RIFLE W/SLING, 8MM, 1943 MFG.

This is an original, WWII, German K98k Rifle manufactured bt Mauser ("byf" code) in 1943. The K98k was the standard German battle rifle of WWII. It is chambered for the 7.92x57mm (8mm Mauser) cartridge. This is a nice untouched rifle with all matching numbers and the original sling. The gun is in fine condition. It retains more than 90% of its original factory blued finish with a little rust freckling on the nose cap and some light wear on the high edges. The butt plate has a mottled brown and steel patina. The bore and mechanics are excellent. The stock has darkened with age but remains in very fine condition with just a few small dings and scratches from use. There is no cleaning rod. The sling has a little surface flaking but remains flexible. Honest, untouched WWII K98k rifles with matching numbers are increasingly hard to find. Stock no. 28242
