This is an original, US M-1 Carbine manufactured by Winchester in 1942. It is chambered for the .30 caliber carbine cartridge. The gun has had a typical post war rebuild to bring it up to standards, fitted with a bayonet mount, adjustable rear sight, and updated safety and magazine release. The carbine is in very good condition, well used but sound. The parkerized finish is developing a brownish tinge in some areas. The butt plate is worn. There are a few rust speckles on the magazine. The bore and mechanics are excellent. The Trimble stock has a significant number of small dings and scratches from use. This one has seen some use, but has a lot more service in it! Stock no. 28044
