This is a Czech VZ.24 Mauser Rifle manufactured at Brno in 1938 and chambered for the 7.92x57mm (8mm Mauser) cartridge. The VZ.24 was the standard Czech battle rifle, but was also exported all over the world. This rifle is in fine condition with more than 90% of its blued finish remaining. There is some light wear on the high points of the gun. The bolt is finished bright. The rifle has excellent mechanics, but the bolt is mis-matched. It has a fine bore. It's a little dark, but exhibits strong rifling along its length. The barrel has been counter bored at the muzzle. The stock is in very good condition with a few small dings from use. It has been fitted with a rubber recoil pad. There is a small crack in the handguard behind the rear sight. There are importer marks on the barrel. Included is an original sling in fine condition. This is a solid VZ.24 in good condition that should be a good shooter. Stock no. 26684
