WWI BRITISH WEBLEY MK.VI REVOLVER, .45 ACP

This is an original, British Webley Mk.VI Revolver manufactured in 1917. This was the standard British Service Revolver of the First World War. Originally chambered for the .455 Webley cartridge, this revolver has had the cylinder shaved for use with the .45 ACP cartridge with half-moon clips. The gun is in very good condition with about 50% of its factory blued finish remaining. The gun has overall finish wear with blue remaining in large protected areas. The gun has a fine bore. The mechanics are excellent, but keep in mind that the .45 ACP develops much more pressure that the original .455 cartridge. The brown hard rubber grips are in fine condition with no chips or cracks and just a small ding or two from use. The Mk.VI Webley is a big handful of revolver with a storied history. Stock no. 27539
