VERY FINE CHICAGO FIREARMS COMPANY "PROTECTOR" PALM PISTOL,.32 RIMFIRE

This is an antique original "Protector" Palm Pistol manufactured by the Chicago Firearms Company of Chicago, Illinois. It is chambered for the .32 Extra Short Rimfire cartridge. These pistols were made in the 1890's. They featured a unique "squeezer" type action with rotary chambers. The total number produced is about 12,800. This pistol is in very fine condition with about 95% of its factory nickel finish remaining. There is some darkening in the knurling of the removeable left side plate and just a few specks elsewhere. The bore is very good and the owner assures me the action works properly. These action of these pistols has a reputation for fragility and I am not going to chance breaking it! The black hard rubber grip plate inserts and the grip pad are in very fine condition with no chips or cracks. This is a very nice example of the Chicago Palm Pistol. Stock no. 26844
