Item :	BEAUTIFUL MARLIN MODEL 1894 RIFLE, .44-40, 1901 MANUFACTURE

This is a Model 1894 Marlin Rifle manufactured in 1901 and chambered for the desirable .44-40 (.44 Winchester Center Fire) cartridge. The rifle has a straight stock with crescent butt plate and a 24" octagonal barrel. The Model 1894 was produced from 1894 to 1934. Approximately 250,000 were made. This rifle is in very fine condition. The barrel and magazine tube retain about 95% of their factory blued finish. There are a few light sprinkles of surface rust that should clean up well. The receiver retains 95% of its factory case colors. There is a little browning of the upper tang from handling. There are some very light sprinkles of surface rust in a couple spots. The hammer retains its case colored finish. The bolt has turned brown as has the handle portion of the lever. Case color is visible on the trigger guard portion of the lever. The case colors of the crescent butt plate has faded to a dark brownish gray. The rifle has excellent mechanics and an excellent shiny bore. The varnished walnut stock is in very fine condition with just a couple of tiny dings from use. This is a beautiful rifle and one of the finest Marlins I have had in years.
