.577 Caliber percussion English Made Rifle Musket most likely sent here during our Civil War. Iron furniture is a deep brown patina. No pitting but a light frosting on the lock. Clear London Proofs and double "LAC" inspection on the breech. Lock marked "1861/LAC Co: and has a Crown over VR to the rear of the hammer. Fine mechanics and the bore is ok with some patchy areas of pitting. Deep dark umber brass butt plate and trigger guard. Rifle is complete with sling swivels and ram rod. Fine oil finished full length stock with a clear "London Armoury/1062" roundel stamped in the right cheek. The rear sigh spring is missing but this could be easily replaced.
