Caliber .30-40 Government. US Military Long Arm of the Early 20th Century. Fine condition. Barrel and receiver retain 80-90% original blue mixed with a dark black gun metal patina. Bolt and cocking knob are in the bright. Magazine and side box are a black case color hardened finish. Trigger guard and band retain 80% plus bright original blue as well. Excellent "P" proofed stock with a "PH" stamp instead of cartouche. I have no idea what this stands for. Fine bore and excellent mechanics.
