1882 Manufacture. SN# 157xxx. .44 Rimfire. The famous "Yellow Boy" of the American West! Winchester lever action repeating rifle with round 20 inch barrel. Full magazine. Barrel and magazine and bands, are a smooth steel gray patina. Blued rear sight. The brass receiver and butt plate are a even, lovely gold patina. Tool trap in the butt plate. Fine walnut stock and forend with 90% plus factory varnish. Excellent mechanics. Bore is apparent but the corrosive ammunition of the period has taken its toll. I'd rate it at about 50%. Wether in the hands of the Native Americans or the Settlers this is a historic firearm.
