.44 Caliber, Percussion Single Action US Military Revolver. Lower than usual SN# so almost certain Civil War use. Barrel and frame and cylinder retain 60% plus bright blue. Excellent mechanics. Good bore, Clear Remington address on barrel flat, Lot's of sub inspectors initials on most parts. Early nickle silver cone shaped front sight. Excellent two piece grips with clear cartouche at the right flat. As usual some Cavalry Trooper has used this revolver as a hammer to tighten his horses shoes up. Much better than usual.
