.45-70 Caliber, single shot, breechloading US Military Long Arm. Last production of the Trapdoor Rifles at Springfield with the retractable "Ramrod-Bayonet. Barrel and lock are crisply marked and retain 85-90% of the original blue. Breechblock has 60-70% mottled case color hardening. Excellent bore and mechanics. Buffington rear sight, Fine oil finished stock with clear "SWP cartouche and "74/118" big rack number at the right butt. Complete with original sling swivels and ram rod.
