Description :

This is an original Single Action Army Revolver manufactured by Colt in 1880. It is chambered for the .45 Long Colt cartridge. Also known as the Peacemaker, this is a legendary American gun. It is the gun of choice of cavalry and cowboys, gunfighters and lawmen. This is a nice untouched example showing wear from use, but also a gun that was well cared for. It has a 7 1/2" barrel and the correct one-piece oil stained walnut grips. The revolver is in antique fine condition. It retains a considerable amount of original blued finish on the barrel and cylinder. The barrel has about 90% remaining and the cylinder about 70%. The cylinder has some holster wear at the front. The ejector housing has about 50% of its blued finish remaining, showing holster wear on the outermost surface. The backstrap and trigger guard have just traces of blue in protected areas. The case colors of the frame have faded to a dark blue/gray and steel patina. The bore, chambers, and mechanics are excellent. The grips are in very fine condition with no visible dings. This is a true, Old West, black powder Colt Single Action in nice original condition. Stock no. 25208
