BROWNING MODEL 1886 WINCHESTER SADDLE RING CARBINE, .45-70
Description :
This is a Browning made Model 1886 Winchester Saddle Ring Carbine chambered for the .45-70 Government cartridge. The 1886 Winchester was originally designed by John and Matthew Browning. It was the first Browning design to be adopted by Winchester. In 1986 Browning produced a full sized Model 1886 rifle to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the design. The saddle ring carbine version was later made in 1992 and 1993 by Browning. Only 7,000 were made. This carbine is in very fine condition with more than 98% of its factory blued finish remaining. There are just a couple of fine scratches on the left side of the receiver. The bore and mechanics are excellent. The stock is in fine condition with several small dings and scratches from use. This carbine, with its 22" round barrel, is a handy, hard hitting lever action. Stock no. 25112
