Item :	VERY FINE SMITH & WESSON MODEL 41 .22 TARGET PISTOL

Here is a Smith & Wesson Model 41 Semi-Automatic Target Pistol manufactured in 1967 and chambered for the .22 Long Rifle cartridge. The pistol is fitted with the 5 1/2" hravy barrel with extended front sight. Designed for Bullseye competition shooting, the Model 41 was introduced in 1957. The 5 1/2" heavy barrel was first offered in 1963 with the extended front sight appearing in 1965. The extended sight was discontinued in 1976. This pistol is in very fine to excellent condition. It retains about 99% of its factory blued finish. There is a faint hint of wear at the sharp front edges of the slide. The lower right front edge of the slide has a tiny scrape along the sharp corner. There is a tiny ding on the left side of the trigger guard. The bore and mechanics are excellent. The checkered walnut thumbrest grips are excellent as well. There are a couple tiny dings along the edge of the thumbrest. The Model 41 Smith & Wesson is a superb target pistol of the highest quality. Stock no. 24777
