SMITH & WESSON .455 MK II HAND EJECTOR, 2ND MODEL
Description :
This is an original, Smith & Wesson .455 MK II Hand Ejector revolver manufactured ca. 1915. It is a large "N" frame revolver with a 6 1/2 inch barrel chambered for the British .455 Eley Cartridge. These revolvers were intended for use by Britain and the Empire in WWI. This revolver has a number of military markings, including the British Broad Arrow and Canadian Crossed Pennants. This gun is in very fine condition with more than 90% of its factory blued finish remaining. There is light holster wear on the barrel, cylinder front, and high points of the frame. There was a little surface rust on the top strap and this removed some finish. The bore, chambers, and mechanics are excellent. The checkered walnut grips have diamond escutcheons and S&W medallions. They are in fine condition. There are a couple of tiny dings on the base of the grips. This is a very nice example of a revolver used by both Canada and Great Britain in the First World War.
