This is a Winchester Model 1894 Rifle manufactured in 1907 and chambered for the .32-40 (.32 WCF) cartridge. The Model '94 has earned the title of America's Most Popular Deer Rifle with over 5,000,000 produced and production continuing until 2006. Early examples are quite desirable. This rifle has a 26" round barrel. It is in very good condition. The barrel and magazine tube retain 95% of their factory blued finish. The receiver retains about 35% with the forward portion turning brown. The lever has about 70% of its factory blue remaining. The magazine band, nose cap, and butt plate have little finish remaining and are a smooth brown over steel. The rifle has excellent mechanics, but the bore is a little rough. It is dark and pitted. A good scrubbing might help. The stock is in good condition with a number of small dings, scrapes, and scratches from use. These early '94 Winchesters are very well built and fitted. Stock no. 23220
