This is an original, WWII, U.S. Model 1911A1 .45 Auto Pistol. The gun has mixed parts. The frame was made by Ithaca, but at some point it acquired a Colt slide. While a Colt slide can be correct on early Ithaca pistols, this pistol is from a later production run and should have an Ithaca slide. The barrel is of the correct High Standard manufacture. The pistol is in very good condition. It retains more than 80% of its original parkerized finish, with some light overall finish wear. The mechanics are excellent and the bore is very fine. The plastic grips show a little light wear. Yes, it's mis-matched, but it's also a good serviceable WWII .45 Auto. Stock no. 24131
