Item :	WWII, GERMAN SAUER 38H PISTOL & HOLSTER

This is an original, WWII production German 38H Pistol made by J.P. Sauer & Sohn and chambered for the 7.65mm (.32 ACP) cartridge. The 38H was made by Sauer to compete with the Mauser and Walther Pocket Pistols. It is a hammerless design, bearing a strong resemblance to the Walther PP. Manufactured from 1938 until the end of World War II, many went to various Police Agencies in Germany. They were also privately purchased and carried by German Officers. This is the final production variant of the 38H, made in the latter part of the war. This simplified version omitted the safety and the cocking/decocking lever. It has a wartime finish, well done, but a little rougher than earlier production guns. This pistol is in very fine condition with about 98% of its original blued finish remaining. The grip straps are showing just a faint hint of wear. The bore and mechanics are excellent. The grips are excellent as well with no damage or wear. The Sauer Und Sohn "SUS" logo is on the left grip panel. Included is the original holster and one extra magazine. Both magazines and the holster are also in very fine condition. There are a few light scuff marks on the high points of the leather holster. The inside of the holster is stamped with a crisp "WaA 668" Waffenamt. You will be hard pressed to find a better example of the Sauer 38H for your collection. Stock no. 23946
