1933 COLT OFFICIAL POLICE .38 SPECIAL REVOLVER, FEDERAL RESERVE BANK OF NEW YORK MARKED

Here is a Colt Official Police Revolver manufactured in 1933 and chambered for the .38 Special cartridge. This revolver was sold to and usd by the Federal Reserve Bank of New York and this marking is stamped on the back strap. The revolver is in fine condition with about 85% of its factory blued finish remaining. It has typical holster wear on the barrel, top strap, and cylinder. There is some handling wear on the trigger guard and on the grip straps. The mechanics, bore, and chambers are excellent. The grips are complete with no chips or cracks. The right grip panel is far more worn than the left, as this side was always exposed when the gun was worn. The gun comes with a black basket weave holster made by Colt in fine condition. This is a very nice pre-war Colt with great history. Stock no. 23662
