RELIC, "BARN FIND" U.S. MODEL 1816 FLINTLOCK MUSKET

Here is an original, U.S. Model 1816 Flintlock .69 caliber Musket. It is in relic condition, what we call a "barn find". The metal of the musket is heavily pitted, with a dark brown color. The lock is missing the springs and the top jaw of the cock. The cock and frizzen just kind of flop back and forth. The bore is equally bad, dark, crusty, and heavily pitted. The butt plate is heavily corroded. The wood at the butt has a some rot and iron discoloration. All markings on the gun are obliterated by rust and wear. This is basically a rough old relic for hanging over the fireplace. But it is real! Stock no. 22904
