Item :	STANDARD PRODUCTS U.S. M-1 CARBINE

This is a WWII production, U.S. M-1 Carbine manufactured by Standard Products in late 1943. It is in it's correct, WWII configuration, but I believe this one is a restoration. I think the rear sight and front band may be reproductions. The gun is fitted with an IBM barrel, which is correct. The barrel has tiny importer marks on the underside behind the sight band. They are probably from Interarms, as you can just make out "Arlington, Va.". The carbine is in very fine condition with nearly all of its light gray parkerized finish remaining. The bore and mechanics are excellent. The low wood stock is in fine condition with an Ordnance wheel on the right side of the stock and the correct "S-HB" stamping in the sling well. It has another marking just forward of the sling well that I don't know about. It says "STD" over "PROD" over "RWH". I've not seen it before (which meams nothing!), so you look at the photos and decide. The butt plate is stamped with the correct "S-S3" marking. The carbine is fitted with a late WWII, OD green web sling and an S'G' magazine. Even with the restoration, this is a great looking example of an M-1 Carbine as carried during WWII. Stock no. 22800
