SUPERB, MAUSER "42" CODE P.08 LUGER, 1940 MFG.

This is an original, WWII, German P.08 Luger Pistol manufactured by Mauser ("42" Code) in 1940. Included is a beautiful, 1940 dated, brown leather holster and 2 magazines. Chambered for the 9mm Parabellum cartridge, the P.08 was a standard German sidearm in both World Wars. This pistol is in very fine to excellent condition. It retains about 98% of its original factory blued finish. There is a touch of holster wear at the muzzle and on the high point of the side plate. There is a tiny worn spot on the toe of the front grip strap. The pistol has an excellent bore and mechanics.There is a small scratch on the checkering of the left grip panel. The gun is all matching except for the magazines. The wooden grip panels are not numbered. The holster is in very fine condition, with tight stitching. It has a crisp manufacturer's marking and 1940 date. There is also a WaA668 waffenamt above the maker's marking. There is no take-down tool. The extra magazine is marked "HAENEL" and "SCHMEISSER PATENT". This is a suberb, 1940 production Luger. Stock no. 22705
