1910 MFG. WINCHESTER MODEL 1894 RIFLE, .38-55 WCF

Description :
This is a Winchester Model 1894 Rifle manufactured in 1910 and chambered for the .38-55 WCF (Winchester Center Fire) cartridge. It has a special order 26" round barrel and a varnished shotgun butt. An octagon barrel was standard and a '94 rifle could be special ordered with the shotgun butt plate rather than the crescent or carbine style butt. The rifle is in fine condition with about 80-85% of its factory blued finish remaining. Most of the finish wear is on the bottom of the receiver, nose cap, and upper receiver tang. There is a tiny ding in the metal of the barrel top just above the tubular magazine forward mount. The rifle has excellent mechanics and a fine bore with sharp rifling along its length. The stock is in fine condition as well. The fore end has most of the varnish worn away from being carried. Most of the varnish remains on the butt. There is a small repaired hairline crack on the upper right side of the wrist where it joins the receiver. There are a few small dings from use. This is a fine old Winchester in a desirable chambering, perfect for Cowboy shooting. Stock no. 22530
