WWII RUSSIAN TT33 TOKAREV 7.62MM PISTOL

This is an original Russian TT33 Tokarev Pistol chambered for the 7.62mm Tokarev cartridge and manufactured in 1933. The TT33 was the standard Russian service pistol of WWII. This pistol is in very good condition. It retains about 70% of its blued finish. I am not certain that this is the original blue. The Russians frequently refurbished arms and this may be an old refinish. The slide is beginning to turn brown. The bore is fine and the mechanics excellent. The plastic grips are in fine condition. There is a tiny chip at the top of the right grip panel. The left panel is a little loose. Interestingly, there appears to be a shrapnel strike on the back grip strap. It punctured the metal and left a hairline crack across the strap. This may be what loosened the left grip panel. The Tokarev was one of the work horses of the Russian army.
