SMITH &WESSON MODEL OF 1950 .45 HAND EJECTOR
Description :
This is an original Smith & Wesson .45 Hand Ejector Model of 1950, Military. Also known as the 1950 Army, this revolver became the Model 22 in 1957. It is chambered for the .45ACP cartridge used with half moon clips. This is a Pre-Model 22 manufactured between 1951 and 1956. This revolver was similar to the U.S. Model 1917 Service Revolver, but had a new short throw hammer and a sliding hammer block. The lanyard loop was eliminated. Included is the original S&W gold box. The revolver shows some honest wear from use with about 60-70% of its factory blued finish remaining. There is finish wear on the cylinder, barrel, and high points of the frame. The frame has a speckling of brown patina. The bore and mechanics are excellent. The diamond escutcheon grips show some very light wear from use. The original box is very fine with all corners intact. There is some light wear on the 90 degree edges of the cardboard. The box has great markings and printed instructions on the inside of the lid. Two half moon clips are included. This is a nice example of the 1950 Army and the great box is a real plus.
