VERY FINE, SMITH & WESSON BRAZILIAN CONTRACT OF 1937 .45 HAND EJECTOR

This is a Smith & Wesson .45 Hand Ejector made for the Brazilian Contract of 1937. This is basically the U.S. Model 1917 Service Revolver. Under the 1937 contract, 25,000 were made for the Brazilian Government. They are marked on the side plate with the Brazilian Shield and the 1937 contract date. These revolvers are chambered for the .45 ACP cartridge using half moon clips. This revolver is in very fine condition, retaining about 95% of its factory blued finish. There is a little wear just on the high points. There are a couple of tiny nicks on the right side of the barrel. The bore, chambers, and mechanics are all excellent. The smooth walnut grips have a few small dings from use and storage. This is a superb example of the Brazilian Contract Hand Ejector!
