This is an original, Civil War Revolver Cartridge Pouch. These were designed to hold three 6-round boxes of revolver cartridges. The box is in very good condition. There is some flaking of the blackened finish with about 85% remaining. The leather remains supple and has no tears or damage. This would have been issued with the M-1860 Colt or the Remington New Model Army.
