.52 Rimfire Caliber, Single Shot Breechloading US Cavalry Carbine. Serial Number 2364 and matching. Barrel, lock and flip over receiver are all a smooth steel patina. Extra sharp markings lon lock and breech block. Deep mellow brass trigger guard, barrel band and butt plate. Excellent bore and mechanics. Fiine one piece oil finished stock with outline of inspectors cartouche above the sling bar on the left flat. Stock has that fine, untouched "feathery" look. These were widely used during the Civil War.
