1891 Postmarked letter and original envelope from Mrs. George Armstrong Custer asking a friend to keep a look out for a reasonable house to rent in New York City for the season. Very clear and in excellent condition with a large "Elizabeth B. Custer" Autograph. Custer and his "Libby" were one of the great love stories of The Civil War and the Frontier. Here is a later letter from his widow and her autograph.
