LONG BARRELED LUGER, .30 LUGER, BUILT FROM PARTS

This is an original, WWI, German P.08 Luger Pistol. It is a "Frankenluger" made up of various parts, original and handmade. It was originally built in 1915, probably by DWM. It was rebuilt in 1920 for police use in the Weimar Republic. The date "1920" is stamped over the original "1915" date. Sometime later, the gun was completely rebuilt. A new, 10-inch barrel was fitted. It appears to be .30 caliber Luger. The barrel is nicely made and has some markings that I can't identify. One is a "Peace Symbol". The toggle is a WWII example made by Mauser (byf code). There are no sights on the toggle. I don't believe that there are two matching parts in the gun. There is little to no finish remaining on anything but the toggle. The gun has an overall silvery steel patina with about 60% of the blue remaining on the toggle. The mechanism seems to function properly, but the magazine is broken. The bore is in very fine condition. As stated, the magazine is broken and pitted. The wooden plug has broken allowing the spring to extend out the bottom of the magazine. The grips are heavily worn with a hairline crack on the right side. I can pretty much guarantee that you will be the only one at the range with a 10-inch Frankenluger! Stock no. 32603
