This is a Winchester Model 71 Deluxe Lever Action Rifle manufactured in 1952 and chambered for the .348 Winchester Center Fire cartridge. The Model 71 was an improved version of the Model 1886 with a 2/3 tube magazine and a pistol grip. The Deluxe Model added a fancy pistol grip cap, checkering of the wood, and sling swivel studs. Winchester made these from 1935 to 1957. This rifle is in fine to very fine condition. More than 95% of its factory blued finish remains. There is some light finish wear on the bottom of the lever and a little more on the heel of the butt plate. The bore and mechanics are excellent. The stock is very good to fine with a few small dings and scratches from use. This is a good-looking Model 71 in great condition. Stock no. 32858
